The Korea Institute of Animal Products Quality Evaluation (President Park Su-jin) participated in the ‘2026 Korean Policy Studies Association Fall Conference’ held at the National Sejong Arboretum on October 16 and presented policy achievements under the theme ‘Food Trust 2.0: Quality and Safety Administration Transformed by Artificial Intelligence (AI), How Far Has Public Perception Come?’

The Korean Association of Policy Studies is a leading academic community that discusses the diagnosis of the policy environment and the resolution of major social problems. To discuss the impact of artificial intelligence technology development on the daily lives of citizens, the Association has set "Innovation in Policy Governance in the Era of the Great AI Transformation" as its annual main theme.

In line with this trend, the Korea Animal Products Quality Evaluation Institute planned a session on "AI-based Innovation in Livestock Administration and Tangible Results for the Public" at this fall academic conference and introduced best practices to experts from academia and industry. In particular, the institute received a strong positive response for its presentations on "Fairness Management of AI-based Livestock Product Grading" and "Case Study on Establishing an Intelligent Traceability System (TRUST) Utilizing Traceability Data." Through this, the institute publicized its efforts and achievements to date in securing food safety and social trust for the public as a public institution, and transparently shared the process of driving rational decision-making.

Following this, Professor Shin Yeol of Mokwon University served as the moderator for a panel discussion. Experts in the fields of policy, administration, and consumption participated in an in-depth discussion on directions for improving business operations, including performance management (measurement and monitoring) of AI transition, education and promotion regarding understanding of AI transition, role transitions and conflict management following the introduction of AI, and consumer acceptance management.

Park Su-jin, President of the Korea Institute of Animal Products Quality Evaluation, emphasized regarding the operation of the planning session at the Korean Association for Policy Studies’ Fall Academic Conference, “It was a meaningful opportunity to discuss policy governance in the livestock sector with experts and explore directions for development,” adding, “We will continue to collaborate with academia and do our best to provide high-quality public services that the public can experience.”

Meanwhile, the data released by the Korea Institute of Animal Products Quality Evaluation can be viewed and downloaded from the website of the Korean Association for Policy Studies.
